Just Me Now

I'm a smoker not a toker
but it wasn't always that way
I'm a sober now, not a drunk
but there was a time when
that's not what I would've thunk
It's just that there was this pain
that just wouldn't go away, so
I'd live to party and I partied to live
because my life was a very dark grey, then
I gave up sex and pursuit of the same
for the screwing I was a getting
was only messing up my head
I couldn't sleep for I knew I would die
So I'd pour another drink and
to myself, tell another lie, but
I knew there had to be more
I knew there had to be a way
and I knew that I knew, that
I had no way of knowing what that way would be
But I always looked back to my pile of shit
inspecting the tracks to and fro
their confusing cross stitch
then something happened so unexpectedly
surreal, it crumpled my head
and nurtured my soul and then
the pieces slowly - started to fit
somehow, someway I became
to make sense - of it
S o here I am after all these way
too many years, with
the trails behind me now
of torments and bitter tears
No need for the crutches
upon with which I used to crip
No more need to stumble or fall
just to see my foolish need of it
I am whole, I am complete
I have no needs nor wants now, and
My only wishes and desires are
to spread this love around, yes
I am so God dang happy now
I could just spit

Ignorant Folk

Current mood: aggravated

If there's one thing that drives me nuts its Ignorant people. You know the ones who don't give a crap about anyone else except themselves. These folk are the kind who leave shopping carts in the parking lot because they're too lazy to take them back. I only hope that if one of these carts runs away, that she vehicle it hits is one of theirs.

These people have no qualms about cutting you off in traffic and if a confrontation arises there is no way it was their fault. Most of these people go by the name 'no parking' or 'fire lane' because that's where you'll find them parked. They'll pull right up to the door in their 'no parking' spot and honk the horn at someone in a wheelchair because they're in a hurry.

I can't stand these people. They must be related to all those folk who think they are the greatest gift to - what ever that is. You know the ones who think their poop don't stink and that they are better then anyone else. Bullcrap. I don't care who you are or what you do, no one is better then the next. We all have our crosses to bare and our loads to pack. And just because the majority of the world's population isn't born with the proverbial silver spoon in their months, doesn't make them better because they have money. Most of the greatest down to earth, do anything for you, whether you are friend or not, don't have a dime to their name and still, they ask nothing in return. What better Testament to human kind.

I really try not to harbour bad feeling about anyone but when I run into these kinds of individuals, and there's no shortage of them, its all I can do to hold my tongue and I think the only reason I don't say something is because I believe they would thrive on the conflict, and I of course would go ballistic.

If you're hand hurts, you don't cut it off. If you're feeling ill you get and or do what you need to make yourself better. When we treat others with disrespect and ignorance we ultimately only hurt ourselves. The sooner we all realize that the entire human race is connected with an indestructible bind, the sooner these losers will realize that, when you hurt others they are only hurting themselves in the end.

Thinking out Loud

Hello and Happy New Year

I have a very active mind which is continual disarray with thoughts on a multitude of topics, mainly because I have my own opinion on such things. So in an attempt to purge some of this jumble I have started this Blog and corresponding web page where I plan on inserting such material (when I have the inclination to do so.

I write in spurts and there are likely to be larges gaps in between dates of material, thats just they way it works for me. The only reason I mention this is that if you're looking for a continually flowing page of ideas you likely won't find it here however, if you were to come back say a month (sometimes more) later yo may find that I've added several new articles. like I said before, it just comes to me in such groupings.

Anyway, the main point to this blog is a venting of sorts to the many ideas and thoughts that come to me. These are not meant to sway dictate or encourage anyones opinion of such matters, they are just the ramblings of a mind gone out of control. If you have comments on any topics spewed forth from within, I would like to hear them, who knows maybe we think alike.

Thats about it
Hope you're having a great day

War

Why is there war? For power, land, religious or moral beliefs - or love perhaps? I say its because of fear. It’s the fear of losing what we have and fear of the unknown coming to us. Fear that we may lose that what we love. So how do we stop it when we do not wish to lose what we have, whether it be our land, our power, our religious belief or whatever it is that we love? We cannot simply stand by and let those take what we have without a fight can we? Should we just give it to them then and avoid the fight? No, that would be too easy and we would lose self-respect as others take advantage over us.

The only way I can see an end is to educate those and all to understand, that we are all ONE and when one is hurt that one is us in the end. And you know this is true because of how you feel after hurting someone and how different that is when you help those around you.
